GeneratiON '80

In the occasion of the 53rd edition of the Biennale di Venezia, the Galleria MOdenArte opens its headquarters in Venice by offering a group exhibition bringing together artworks created by eight young artists born in the eighties. In this exhibition are displayed several works created through different experiences and different techniques representing a significant phenomenon of the new generation’s talents. The artists who partecipate in GeneratiON'80 are Marco Bertozzi, Cristiano Coppi, Antonio Cugnetto, Francesco Di Tillo, Federica Gonnelli, Silvio Palladino, Fabrizio Perghem and Sergio Trevisan. The exhibition is curated by the young Niccolò Bonechi and Gabriele Tosi, also belonging to the generation of people born in the eighties. The eight artists were also invited to create an installation that is exhibited from June 6 in the Lobby of the Court of Pistoia locate in Piazza del Duomo.

 

The Happy Works’ Path

"The Happy Works’ Path" is the name intended by the artist Giuliano Ghelli for the experience achieved with a students’ team of the Art school “A. Venturi” in Modena, coordinated by three teachers and organized by the Galleria MOdenArte.

During this workshop, started in December 2008, several students made twelve artworks on canvas with theme assigned, the "door" and two sculptures of clay, realized in Impruneta (Tuscany), which will be placed among the “terracotta army" created by the artist and display in the Gallery of Statue, locate in Modena, 10 Belle Arti str.

Some of these works, along with the other realized by Ghelli, will be auctioned on Saturday June 6, at the Galleria MOdenArte and the gather will be devolved to the Art School of L'Aquila, completely destroyed by the recent earthquake, to enable students to graduate.

Massimo Sansavini - Kindergarten

Twenty fifth new artworks made by Massimo Sansavini are going to display in the next exhibition scheduled in Milan.

Artworks representing the nature’s theme, with thick vegetation, colourful flowers and smooth shapes made with lacquered and polished wooden jig saw elements joined on an aluminum background which lead the observer towards the Pop Art. A primitive nature. Inviolate and sumptuous. The nature before time, intact, rich, sensual and omnipotent, which dominated the dawning of the world.

This is what Massimo Sansavini seeks. And he find it through meticulous and precise work, an ancient way of working that produces result of a highly modern flovor, with the glowing colors to which digital culture has accustomed us.

The grand opening is scheduled on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 6:00 pm in Milan, at the Italian Touring Club’s Conference Hall,10 Corso Italia and will remain open until July 31.

Hours: Monday-Thursday from 8.30 till 19.00, Friday from 8.30 till 14.00. Saturday and Sunday closed.

Piero Gilardi - The Sound of Nature

The Galleria MOdenArte is pleased to anounce the big opening of the main exhibiting space located in Modena with a greato solo show of the artist Piero Gilardi.

Called "The Sound of Nature", the exhibition curated by the art crtic Maurizio Vanni is composed by more than forty artworks, most of them are the famous "Nature Carpets".

In this occasion a specific book will be presented by the artist and the curator.
